How can you replace sewer pipes without digging up my landscaping?
Midway Plumbing is the ONLY company in the area to offer Trenchless Sewer Drain Line Replacement. The best part is that it is possible to do this with minimal digging and complete the project in only one day.
If I have a need for Rooter Service, do I have to call one of those national rooter chains?
You don’t have to call a national chain for rooter service. In fact, your best course of action is to call a fully trained and certified local plumber, such as Midway Plumbing. You want an experienced, skilled plumber to handle a tricky rooter issue. If rooter service isn’t done properly, it could lead to major damage to your pipes and drains. For peace of mind, trust Midway Plumbing to handle your rooter service.
How do I know if I have a broken water line outside my house?
If you’re paying attention, you’ll be able to spot evidence of a broken water line. If you notice puddles of water pooling outside your home, it’s probably due to a broken water line. You might also hear the sound of running water when no faucets are on. Another dead giveaway is an unreasonably high water bill. If you notice any of these issues, call the experts at Midway Plumbing for an inspection of your pipes.
How do I un-jam my garbage disposal?
You might be able to fix the problem by sticking an Allen wrench into the bottom of the disposer to work out the jam. If not, call the experts at Midway Plumbing for the repairs you need. Don’t try to use the garbage disposal again until we have worked on it.
What causes low water pressure and what can I do about it?
A number of factors could lead to low water pressure in your home. Your water line could be partially clogged. We often see deposits gathering in older pipes that slow the flow of water. There also may be a problem with your shut off valve. If you suspect there’s a water pressure problem, call Midway Plumbing and our technicians will come out to take a look.
Conventional Water Heaters or Tankless Water Heaters?
The choice between conventional or tankless water heaters often comes down to whether or not you want a storage tank for hot water in your basement. If not, you’ll be choosing a tankless water heater that features a gas or electric burner. While conventional water heaters are much more common, tankless water heaters can reduce the amount of energy your home uses since they only heat the water when there is a demand for hot water. Conventional water heaters will consume energy even when there is no need for hot water.
What is Instant Hot Water?
Instant Hot Water is a hot water recirculation system for your home. When you open a fixture, the warm water is there. There is no need to run water down the drain waiting for hot water to arrive. Did you know that hot water recirculation systems save water, energy and money? The average family of four wastes up to 17,000 gallons of water per year just waiting for hot water to arrive. A hot water recirculation system eliminates waste and provides the convenience of instant hot water. They work in existing homes, too!
The under-the-sink retrofit systems are designed for existing homes. Midway Plumbing can easily adapt a system to your existing plumbing. Midway Plumbing is the area’s expert in Instant Hot Water.
Is there really a difference between hard water and soft?
Yes, hard water can pose a number of different problems. Hard water can damage clothing; eat away at your pipes, faucets, and fixtures; leave an unpleasant taste; and can even lead to skin problems. If your water is too hard, contact Midway Plumbing for help.
What is the most common reason for sump pump failure?
A sump pump issue can often be traced to your switch. If your pump shifts out of place, your switch might be impacted as the float that operates the switch may lodge against its side. Debris can also block the pump switch. It’s important to make sure nothing is interfering with your pump switch or float. If that doesn’t work, call Midway Plumbing for a test of your sump pump.
